Have you ever felt like you’re suffocating under the weight of everything—like the world is too loud, too heavy, and no one really sees you? Maybe you feel invisible, like your light has been switched off and you’re trapped in a place you can’t escape. That ache in your chest? That’s not the end. It’s a beginning. I’ve been there, in the darkness, disconnected and shattered. But I’m here to tell you that even in the darkest moments, there is a spark within you, waiting to ignite again.
For many of us, life’s hardships—whether it’s illness, loss, or emotional pain—become the very spark that ignites our greatest transformation.
Let me share something with you…
The Wounds That Shaped Me
When I was two years old, I watched my father leave. I was standing up in my crib, crying and reaching for him as he walked away after an argument with my mother. That moment, my light shut down. I didn’t know it then, but that moment would become the seed of a story I never knew I was meant to tell—a story of loss, rediscovery, and healing. a chain of struggles would follow—illness, depression, addiction, anxiety, and moments where I felt like life no longer held meaning.
I felt lost and disconnected like I didn’t belong.
For ten years, I battled Rheumatoid Idiopathic Juvenile Arthritis. Every step was painful, every day felt heavy. And then, at 14, a light flickered back to life. It was through Reiki and meditation that I began to heal, not just my body but my spirit. My grades improved, hope returned, and for the first time in years, I felt seen—chosen as a speaker in front of my school and parents. The light I thought I had lost was still there, waiting for me to reignite it. After that, I moved from my hometown of Ventspils to the capital city, Riga, to study. By complete coincidence, I ended up sharing a room in the student hostel with my cousin from my father’s side—a cousin I didn’t know much about. It was then that I reconnected with my father and my favorite grandma. That unexpected reconnection became another flicker of light, reminding me that healing often comes from the most surprising places.
That experience taught me that pain isn’t here to break us. It’s here to guide us—to help us uncover our purpose, strength, and potential.
And maybe you’re here because you’re standing in your darkness, searching for a spark to help you find your light again.
Why Pain Holds the Key to Transformation
We often avoid our pain. It’s uncomfortable, messy, and terrifying. But the truth is, the most powerful breakthroughs are born in moments of struggle.
Think of the people who inspire you—the leaders, the healers, the changemakers. Their genius often comes from hardship: they faced their shadows, failed, fell apart, and emerged stronger, more compassionate, and more resilient.
Your story can be the same.
Pain is not a punishment. It is a portal.
- It strips away what no longer serves us.
- It forces us to look within for answers.
- It helps us become who we were always meant to be.
The question is: Will you let your pain define you, or will you let it transform you?
5 Steps to Begin Your Healing
I’ve walked this path before, and I want to guide you with these steps. Take them slowly, with love and intention:
1. Acknowledge Where You Are
Stop running from the pain. Sit with it, breathe into it, and allow yourself to feel. Healing begins when we accept where we are without judgment.
2. Ask Yourself: What Is This Pain Teaching Me?
Every wound holds a message. What is your pain trying to reveal to you? Is it guiding you to set boundaries, rediscover yourself, or release something you’ve been holding onto for too long?
3. Reconnect With Your Body
Your body holds onto your emotions. Start small: gentle breathing exercises, mindful movement, or meditation. When you reconnect with your body, you create space for healing.
4. Rewrite the Narrative
You are not defined by your pain or your past. What story do you want to tell about yourself? Begin writing a new chapter, one where you reclaim your power.
5. Seek Support
You don’t have to do this alone. Whether it’s through healing meditations, coaching, or connecting with a guide—find someone who can walk alongside you as you heal.
